In the Organizational Meeting:
-Janine Paly was made Reeve and Angela Zilinski chose to remain on as Deputy Reeve.
-There was very little movement of representation of council members on the various boards on which they serve.
-Council went into closed session for a short time to deliberate the appointment of public members to various boards, then came out of closed session and made the appointments

In the Regular Council Meeting:

-Kevin Grumetza received his 30 year Emergency Service pin. Though he was not in attendance, the recognition was discussed.
-There was a price correction made to a 2ac. piece of property that was sold to Kenneth Moscaluk. It was reported in previous council meeting that the price was $950 but was corrected to $750.
-A new Draft Council Code of Conduct Bylaw 14-2023 received first and second reading. The CAO reported that it is substantially identical to the existing bylaw save for an abundance of grammatical corrections that were required.
-Council voted to support the request by the Royal Canadian Legion to have a portion of Highway 827 for the Nov 11 Remembrance Day services. The Legion will now apply to the Department of Transportation for the closure.
-Radway Post Office – this is the last week of operation for the post office in the county building in Radway. Starting next week, it will be run by Fiddlestone Services Inc in Radway.
-CAO Report- Not much to report here except to note that the landfill operators have been instructed to ask people for their user cards every time following an incident where an angry resident “nearly ran over an operator with his vehicle”, resulting in the RCMP being called.
-Trevor Dafoe noted and expressed he is happy that the ski-hill work has come in under budget.
-They went into closed session for a short time where they discussed the sale of the land along highway 28 – and voted to sell it for $2200 to Transportation and Economic Corridors who will be upgrading that portion of the highway.
-They also discussed a “personnel issue” and voted to approve a cost of living increase too all staff as negotiated with the union as per policy.
