Suggested questions/concerns will be shared with the watchdog membership, encouraging everyone to call or email their Councillor directly with the question and their expectation that it be brought up at the meeting under that agenda item.Volunteer2Attend council meetings and reportPreviously many of us were lackadaisical or even completely unengaged in local politics, but that is no longer an option. Engagement is required to maintain our way of life. A very easy way to show our newfound involvement in what is being done by our local government is to just appear at their meetings. Meetings are every second and fourth Tuesday and begin at 9:30am. They are not glamourous, but eyes on the ground as often as possible by as many as possible is the only way we will solidify our proper place back in the driver seat of directing our elected officials. Volunteer3Ambassador in your divisionWe can only accomplish real change when everyone is educated and empowered to demand change. Division ambassador groups will allow for an organized and structured form of growing the engagement and empowerment of our county residents. Ambassador group members will be able to talk to the people in their division about what is going on with County Council and Administration, and learn what individual county issues their neighbours have and things that affect them. This will help bond our community even closer and build the future of Thorhild County together. Volunteer4Research, reading, and reporting on other initiatives/legislation affecting Thorhild CountyInformation empowers and the more information we can gather and share with our community, the better positioned we are to control the destiny of our County. Anyone that wishes to research and share information that either does or is likely to affect our community will be greatly appreciated.
